Hogi Wirjono, better known as DJ Hogi, is coming up as one of the memorable names in Indonesia dance music since 90’s. His endless passion for the industry shines through every time he made his own beats and rocks the party. As a pioneer of the funk, old school hip hop, disco, punk, new house and acid house genre in Indonesia, Hogi released his first EP in 2001 with Grant Dell named “Masonic Noodles” that became a hit in the London tech house scene and received praises from big names such as Laurent Garnier and Charles Webster. Hogi got his name known even more when he released his next EP, “Stranger Bay” featuring Ben Cook, in 2002.
Hogi career more successful when he involved himself as Indonesia’s pioneer cutting edge events producer named FUTURE10. Together with FUTURE10 and his brother, Anton Wirjono, they have succeeded in making party events and every summer’s The Junction Festival in Bali. In between, Hogi also known for contributing to compositions for Jakarta’s electronic band, Agrikulture, along with his brother and fellow DJ Dipha Barus. The band has become one of the bands that started an electronic band movement in Indonesia.
